Dr. David Bean, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder, Attensity
David’s PhD work focused on natural language processing issues including partial parsing, thematic role assignment, automated extraction, and anaphora resolution. He has additional interest and graduate study in medical informatics, embedded systems, databases, and object oriented languages. He holds five software patents and has another 16 pending. David serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the University of Utah's Linguistics Department and has been a guest lecturer on language-focused computing. Prior to Attensity, he was an IS director, an electronic billing coordinator, and an independent consultant in the healthcare industry.
